About OLD

Integrative Wellness and Life Coach

My passion for helping others realize their best life drew me to become a holistic,  integrative wellness and life coach.  I truly believe that our mental, emotional, physical and spiritual systems are all interconnected and my integrative approach helps my clients see their ‘full picture’ and design a plan to restore balance in their lives, while achieving their goals.  Certified Integrative Wellness and Life Coach, Integrative Wellness Academy and Therapeutic Art Life Coach.

Certified Change Practitioner

For over 17 years I’ve been helping organizations and individuals manage change and realize goals. My motto is that ‘change is personal but, more importantly, change is always user’s choice.’  Even with the best of intentions, it can be challenging to make a shift, leave a habit behind or try something new. My coaching services are designed to empower you to be able to make the changes you want to see in your life. Prosci Certified Change Practitioner.

Artist: Energy Art and Art Therapy Coach

Art emits emotions and can be used to reduce stress, heal or focus your energy toward goals. Trained in art therapy, I enjoy teaching workshops to help clients focus their attention in a different way. Colors, images and numbers all have deep meaning and can be healing. Art can also just be a fun way to connect with others, and I also host children’s parties and adult gatherings where attendees create their own unique art piece.

In addition, I am an artist myself. Having an outlet for my creative side is important to my overall well being, and is my way of relaxing and really just reconnecting with myself.  Energy art is my interpretation of life’s movements and flows, emotions and expressions. My work has been displayed in  a local cafe and friends’ houses and is also for sale. Visit www.darbeeny.com to learn more.

Author and Event Speaker

A recurring theme in my coaching practice is women who feel like they have become a passenger in their own lives. Targeting this audience, I  wrote Destiny Do-Over, a personal playbook for helping women (or anyone really) get back in the driver’s seat of their own life. The process is based on my ACT (Acknowledge, Commit, Transform) program and provides easy-to-follow action steps for regaining control of your destiny.

I often speak at workshops and conferences educating rooms of 100-1000+ on effectively management change to drive successful outcomes.

Volunteer and Dog Mom

On a more personal note, I am a dog mom to Puddles, a fun-loving, mixed breed retriever. I like to spend time giving back by volunteering for a local animal hospital, organizing at the food back and serving food to those less fortunate.

Copper wire, wood base. I created this piece in late 2008. For this work, I aimed to convey both the industrial heaviness of an airplane, but also the cloudlike floating quality you feel when you’re in one.
